Type Entomology: A Collector’s Guide to Type Specimens is a magalog. A magazine and/or catalog created by a type foundry to promote typefaces. This was a team project and our team came up with the type entomology concept particularly creating type bugs to show off the typefaces. Each member created at least 2 spreads including a type bug for each typeface. I came up with the idea to create type bug fusions (half type bug and half bug image) for the cover of each spread. I completed all the fusions for each spread using each members type bugs and images they selected. In some cases, I had to select the images myself for the best fit. I also came up with the concept of naming each bug with scientific name incorporating the typeface name.
